You will be responsible for developing fresh and innovative designs that are aligned with the Iris Couture brand identity. This includes creating mood boards, sketches, and digital illustrations for each collection, as well as curating seasonal themes, fabric choices, and embellishment ideas. Working closely with the production team, tailors, and artisans, you will oversee the production process to bring designs to life. This involves coordinating sampling, making adjustments for fit, style, and finishing, and preparing detailed technical sheets and specifications for each garment. Ensuring quality and fit are paramount, you will conduct fit trials and uphold premium quality standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking and approving embroidery, fabric finishes, and trims before production. Staying updated on fashion trends and customer preferences is essential in this role. You will be expected to suggest fresh concepts, cuts, and detailing to keep collections unique and appealing to the target market. To qualify for this position, you should have a degree or diploma in Fashion Design and at least 2 years of experience in boutique, couture, or luxury fashion design. A strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and embellishment techniques is required. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW is essential. An excellent eye for detail and the ability to work to deadlines are also key skills needed for this role. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Kozhikode, Kerala.
