As a Fashion Designer, your role will involve conducting research on the latest trends through websites and market visits. You will be responsible for presenting trend reports according to the calendar, focusing on elements such as colour, fabrics, silhouettes, prints, and graphics for the season. Utilize insights from past data and the retail team to identify successful designs from previous seasons and leverage them effectively. Your key responsibilities will include creating design range mood boards for T-shirts, sweatshirts, flat knits, and jackets based on design research and buying calendar. You will also be in charge of planning range presentations, approving pre-production sample designs, and ensuring timely delivery of ranges and tech packs as per the calendar. Additionally, you will analyze trends in fabric, colors, and embellishment techniques, while also playing a crucial role in setting up brand direction and strategy at the beginning of the season. Some of the key competencies expected from you include proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, a solid understanding of brand values and guidelines to ensure design consistency, and knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and color schemes. Moreover, familiarity with fabrics, garment construction, and applications will be essential for excelling in this role.
