Fashion Design Specialist

As a Lab Assistant in the Fashion Design Department, you will play a crucial role in guiding students and supporting garment construction tasks. Your key responsibilities will include: - Responsible for maintaining lab amenities, including machines and other inventories. - Preparing and updating log books. - Guiding students in stitching and pattern-making projects. - Assisting students with machine operations. - Supporting garment construction and pattern-making tasks for the university beyond the curriculum. To qualify for this position, you should have: - Diploma in Fashion Design (B.Sc. in Fashion Design will be preferred) or Polytechnic in Fashion Design. - At least 2 years of experience in academics as well as in the apparel industry. - Proven work experience as a tailor, lab assistant, or in a similar role, with basic computer knowledge preferred. - Skilled in garment stitching and pattern creation, with expertise in handling industrial machines. - Capable of guiding students on machine operations and various stitching techniques.
