Qua is a womenswear brand that is currently expanding and looking to add meticulous and detail-oriented Garment Quality Controllers to its team. As a Garment Quality Controller at Qua, your primary responsibilities will include conducting quality checks on finished garments at various stages of production, such as in-line, mid-line, and final QC. You will be tasked with ensuring that all products meet design specifications, measurement standards, and finishing requirements. Additionally, part of your role will involve identifying and documenting any defects found, which may include construction issues, fabric flaws, color inconsistencies, and fit mismatches. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will be expected to work closely with the production and merchandising teams to communicate any issues identified and ensure timely resolution. Keeping detailed records of quality inspections and reporting recurring issues for process improvements will also be part of your regular tasks. Moreover, maintaining Qua's quality standards across batches by working closely with factories is essential. In addition to garment quality control, you will be responsible for checking labels, trims, and packaging to guarantee that every product is customer-ready. Your feedback on sampling and bulk production processes will be crucial in preventing quality concerns on a larger scale. To qualify for this position, you should have 4-5 years of experience in apparel quality control or quality assurance. A sharp eye for detail, along with a deep understanding of garment construction, fit, and finishing, is necessary. Knowledge of fabric types, stitching techniques, and standard garment QC parameters is also essential. The ability to work efficiently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced production environment, coupled with strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude, will be beneficial in this role.
