Job Title: Farm Supervisor – Agriculture Operations

Location: Veeravanallur, Tirunelveli District

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Farm Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our agricultural farm. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in farm management, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of crop care, irrigation, labour management, and agricultural machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily field operations including plantation, irrigation, fertilisation, weeding, and harvesting.
• Allocate and manage farm labourers for various tasks, ensuring work is completed efficiently and on time.
• Monitor crop growth and health; report any pest, disease, or weather-related issues to management.
• Maintain and manage farm equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Ensure the proper use of organic manure, pesticides, and irrigation systems.
• Maintain accurate records of farm inputs, labour activities, and crop yields.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure seeds, tools, and other necessary materials.
• Inspect and oversee general farm infrastructure and arrange necessary repairs.
• Enforce safety procedures and hygiene standards across the farm.
• Submit weekly reports to the Farm Manager regarding field activities, workforce, and productivity.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role in agriculture.
• Knowledge of farm operations, equipment, and crop management.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team of labourers.
• Physically fit and willing to work in outdoor conditions.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or mechanical repairs is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A diploma in Agriculture, or diploma in Horticulture, or a related field.
• Familiarity with organic farming, greenhouse operations, or irrigation techniques.
• Ability to use farm software or mobile tools for data entry and reporting.
