Job Title – Faculty – Printmaking
Bachlor of Fine Arts , K. R. Mangalam University
The School of Architecture & design require dedicated position for an Assistant Professor in Printmaking. The role aims to strengthen the department’s studio-based learning and support the growth of traditional and contemporary print practices on campus. The faculty member will contribute to teaching, curriculum development, and research, while helping students build a strong foundation in craft, technique and visual thinking.
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach core and elective courses in Printmaking (relief, intaglio, lithography, screen printing, and experimental methods).
  • Guide students through studio processes, material exploration and project development.
  • Develop course plans, assignments and assessment methods aligned with university standards.
  • Maintain printmaking studios, equipment and safety protocols.
  • Mentor students in portfolio building, exhibitions and research projects.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, academic initiatives and interdisciplinary collaborations.
  • Contribute to workshops, exhibitions and outreach activities within the university.
Essential Qualifications
  • BFA & MFA or PhD in Printmaking / Fine Arts (from a recognized university).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in traditional and contemporary printmaking.
  • Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level (preferred).
  • Knowledge of studio management, materials, tools and printmaking safety practices.
  • Ability to engage students through hands-on teaching and critical discussion.
  • Evidence of exhibitions, research, publications or creative practice.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience with digital print practices or interdisciplinary art approaches.
  • Record of residencies, workshops or community-based print projects.
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum development and department growth.
  • Interest in building printmaking initiatives, clubs or collaborative projects.
