Factory Material Planner - HVDC

As a Manufacturing Production Planning & Control Senior Professional at Hitachi Energy, your role involves managing production to optimize resources and meet production schedules and standards. Your responsibilities include: - Ensuring a safe working environment and continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance - Managing projects/processes independently with limited supervision - Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals - Responsible for project management of factory Orders & Factory expansion Capex Projects - Responsible for Production Materials Planning to ensure continuous production flow as per plan - Communicating project progress reports and production planning reports - Managing changes in project scope, schedule, and costs - Performing risk management to minimize project risks and reporting to management - Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation - Setting up loading charts & maintaining material planning to minimize material stocks - Coordinating with Production leaders and SCM for an updated production plan - Handling inventory, balance adjustments, and quality issues - Customer handling during visits to the factory - Understanding Health and Safety practices, manufacturing processes, Electrical Symbols, Schematic, Mechanical drawings, and Shop floor layout Your background should include: - A BE / B. Tech in Electrical / Electronics/ Instrumentation / Mechanical/Production Engineering with 5-10 years of relevant work experience - Project Management Certifications are an added advantage - Expertise in SAP PP module for production orders and material stock status - Proficiency in Project Planning tools like MS Project/Primavera - Compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies - Self-motivated, flexible, proactive, and committed - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment - Proficiency in both spoken & written English language If you are optimistic, self-assured, and welcome change, have good moral courage, openness, and honesty in all dealings, and are committed to team development, this role at Hitachi Energy in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India could be the right fit for you.,
