Experienced Software Engineer Java / Python (Full Stack or Back End)

As an experienced member of the Software Engineering team, you will push the limits of what's possible by participating in the design and development of scalable and resilient systems using Java or Python. You will contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams and execute software solutions by designing, developing, and troubleshooting technically. Your role will involve creating secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms, producing architecture and design artifacts, and ensuring design constraints are met by software code development. Additionally, you will gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems. Identifying hidden problems and patterns in data will enable you to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture. You will also be part of software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies, fostering a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect. - Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability is required. - Proficiency in coding in Java or Python languages is essential. - Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages is preferred. - Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle is necessary. - Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security is expected. - Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) is beneficial.
