R Job Description Production Manager / Lead (SMT)Department : Production Designation : Sr. Manager / AGM / DGMRole : Production Manager / Lead (SMT)Location : HyderabadExperience : 15 20 Years ROLEThe production Manager / Lead is in charge to supervise production team to manage and execute timely production deliverables, and accountable for smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output. The role aims at ensuring effective and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.RESPONSIBILITIESTo plan and carry out SMT Production schedules with optimum utilization of resources and to deliver the desired output without failure.Manage the SMR & Controller Assembly (box assembly), assembly process and quality of output.Liaising with PPC, Marketing and other Supporting Dept. for quality& deliveryProviding reports on productivity and other performance indicators to management Improve yield and quality and reduce errors in the output to improve performance. Manage final testing of products and identifying the need for corrective actionsManage entries in SAP on daily basis related to production / consumption / material movements and others as required.Responsible for improving production through line balancing and upgradation of layoutSet objectives and monitor the output of the department and ensuring the implementation.To ensure timely updates of all processes / functional documentation.Provide and ensure skill training and competence development in Production Function.To ensure ISO compliance from business & company control perspective.To ensure right quality and quantity and cost effectiveness of the product; and that they are produced on time, to the satisfaction of the customer.To identify, initiate and motivate the team to drive the improvement activities and build up a culture of continuous improvement in the manufacturing process/systems and way of working of the team. To secure a high productive and motivated production team through establishing, measuring and analyzing the performance KPIs (linked with the Organizational KPIs), through continuous coaching, mentoring and feedbacks and through continuous competence development of the team members.To secure the correct product configuration and quality as per global changes and the customer requirements through support of engineering function.To provide support to engineering function in process/machine/infrastructure maintenance practices through better planning and execution of the preventive (including the calibration of the machines and systems) and breakdown maintenances. Also, to secure no production stoppage on account of the maintenance aspects.To maintain and follow the 5S Concept, implement Kaizen and safety measures required on the production lines and at other working areas.Partnering with training team, identify departmental training needs and oversee the effective training and completion thereofRequirements Min 15 - 20 Years’ experience in manufacturing setup of electronics and electrical Should have led SMT, Assembly & testing processes. M.Tech / B.Tech in (Electrical & Electronic Communication).SAP knowledge preferable. Knowledge of ISO/IATF is must. Must have worked on concepts like Kaizen / 5S / Lean Six Sigma / Poke – yoke Six Sigma – Green /Black belt Skills Should be a problem solver and should be able to motivate the team to deliver the desired output.
