Executive / Senior Executive - Operations: Power Trading

Job Summary:
The Operations Executive will support Power Trading's day-to-day trading activities across power exchanges and bilateral/OTC markets, including scheduling, settlements, and compliance. The role will also provide cross-functional support to Finance, Risk, and Legal teams, while assisting the Sales/Business Development team in deal execution and client servicing.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Execute and support trading operations across power exchanges and bilateral markets.
• Coordinate with Power Exchanges, SLDCs/RLDCs, and counterparties for scheduling and nominations.
• Manage trade confirmations, settlements, invoicing, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for RECs, I-RECs, and carbon credits.
• Monitor trades, positions, and exposures generate daily MIS and operational reports.
• Provide shift-based operational coverage to ensure 247 market readiness.
• Collaborate with Technology, Finance, Risk, and Legal teams to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• Support Sales/Business Development teams by preparing operational inputs, validating feasibility, and ensuring smooth deal execution.
• Assist in preparing client-facing operational reports and contribute to proposals requiring trading data insights.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Graduate in Engineering, Finance, or Energy-related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in trading operations (preferably OTC/Bilateral).
• Working knowledge of I-RECs, RECs, and carbon markets.
• Familiarity with scheduling, settlement, and exchange operations.
• Analytical and detail-oriented strong Excel/data management skills.
• Flexibility to work in rotational shifts.
