Procurement Manager/ Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Strategy Development:

    Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Identify cost-effective suppliers and negotiate long-term contracts for key materials and services.
  • Vendor Management:

    Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and resolving issues promptly. Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier risk.
  • Sourcing & Purchasing:

    Oversee sourcing activities, including the identification, selection, and evaluation of suppliers. Manage the end-to-end procurement process to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Budget & Cost Control:

    Manage procurement budgets, monitor spending, and implement cost-saving initiatives while ensuring the quality and quantity of materials and services are met.
  • Inventory Management:

    Coordinate with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid supply chain disruptions.
  • Compliance & Reporting:

    Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, external regulations, and ethical sourcing standards. Provide regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Process Improvement:

    Continuously assess procurement processes for improvement opportunities, implementing best practices and streamlining workflows for greater efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with departments such as Finance, Operations, and Logistics to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil), Supply Chain Management. A Masters degree is a plus.
  • Experience:

    Min 2-3 years of experience in procurement for Executive level. For the managerial role, at least 6-8 years of experience is required with min. 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within manufacturing industry.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills:

    Proven ability to negotiate favorable contracts, resolve conflicts, and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Analytical Skills:

    Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance, and data to make informed decisions.
  • Project Management Skills:

    Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Technology Proficiency:

    Experience with procurement software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Communication Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers effectively.
