Executive Director - Technology (Full Stack/Backend)

As a Chief Engineer for our GCC Banking Client in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in the leadership team by providing deep technology expertise, shaping engineering strategy, and driving architectural excellence. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing end-to-end leadership for platform design and engineering, ensuring alignment with technology strategy. - Architecting and delivering solutions to complex challenges, including system migrations, onboarding new technologies, and decommissioning legacy assets. - Defining engineering standards, uplifting engineering performance, and determining frameworks and best practices. - Owning key technical assets, including roadmaps and long-term technology direction. - Driving cultural and process transformation toward modern delivery (DevSecOps, automation, agility). - Leading strategic initiatives and influencing stakeholders at all levels. - Bringing broad technology expertise, particularly in enterprise software engineering. - Demonstrating hands-on experience building and growing teams operating in a DevSecOps model. - Fostering innovation, challenging the status quo, and promoting diversity and inclusion within engineering teams. Your success in this role will be supported by your experience in: - Strong background in large-scale distributed systems and multi-platform environments. - Expertise in automation and software architecture, ideally in the banking domain. - Experience developing 3-tier applications across: - Frontend: React or Angular - Backend: .NET Core (C#) or Java - Database: SQL and NoSQL - Deep experience with microservices design and scalable APIs. - Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, and Python. - CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus. - AWS Cloud experience with relevant certification. - Strong solution and system design capabilities. - Knowledge of application security, observability, and code quality practices (peer reviews, pair programming, automated pipelines). - Experience working on greenfield projects is highly regarded.
