About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Vice President - Lead Java Developer to join our Investment Banking firm. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot services, data quality rules to support investment risk management and analytics. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and support of critical Java Spring Boot applications and Python-based data quality rules.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

- Participate in architectural design, data schema planning, and code reviews.

- Adopt Agile methodologies, working effectively with Scrum teams and product owners.

- Ensure high standards of quality, performance, and security across all deliverables.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in software development within the financial services or investment management industry.

- 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java (Spring Boot preferred).

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud computing.

- Expertise in SQL, relational databases (DB2, Snowflake), and Unix/Linux environments.

- Solid knowledge of financial quantitative calculations and investment management processes.

- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with technical and business teams.
