Description
Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Understand and analyze ETL requirements, data mapping documents, and business rules. Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans for ETL processes. Perform data validation, source-to-target data mapping, and data integrity checks. Write complex SQL queries for data verification and backend testing. Conduct regression, integration, and system testing for ETL pipelines and data warehouse environments. Work with BI tools to validate reports and dashboards if applicable. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineers to ensure testing coverage and resolve issues. Document defects, test results, and provide detailed bug reports and testing status. Required Skills and Experience: 4+ years of experience in ETL testing or data warehouse testing. Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis. Hands-on experience with ETL tools like Informatica , Talend , SSIS , or similar. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and data modeling. Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail). Understanding of automation in data testing (a plus, e.g., Python, Selenium with databases). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Factory) is a plus ETL Tester- Preferred candidate profile skill Matrix Years ETL Testing SQL ETL Tool Testing Tool (e.g Jira etc) Cloud Data Warehouse
