Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to design comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes. Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks across source and target systems. Execute manual and automated tests to verify data transformations and loading logic. Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to resolve issues and improve data quality. Create and maintain test data and test environments. Generate test reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Required Skills: Strong experience in ETL testing using tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or DataStage. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for data validation and analysis. Experience with data warehousing concepts and data modeling. Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, TestRail). Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Python, or Apache Airflow for ETL testing. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based data services. Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
