ETL Tester

As a Quality Assurance professional with a focus on data testing, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL/ELT data pipelines. Your main focus will be on validating large volumes of data in data warehouses, particularly in Snowflake environments. You will conduct end-to-end data validation, source-to-target data mapping, and regression testing. In this role, you will need to identify, report, and track data quality issues, collaborating closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure timely resolution. Automation of data quality tests using SQL and QA automation frameworks will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Root cause analysis of issues in ETL processes and providing actionable recommendations will also be part of your duties. Your involvement in Agile development processes, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, will be crucial. You will also provide QA sign-off for data pipeline releases and ensure delivery meets both functional and non-functional requirements. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong background in data testing. You should possess significant experience in ETL/ELT testing and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts. Proficiency in Snowflake and SQL for data validation and analysis is essential. Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are key attributes for this position.
