ETL Test Engineer

As a Product Test Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. To excel in this role, you should possess relevant work experience in development and/or test automation, ideally with a degree in Computer Science or Applied Computer Science. Demonstrated expertise in SQL, test data preparation, defect identification, and a strong technical background with excellent problem-solving abilities are essential. You should also have good product and testing acumen, along with expertise in test automation using tools like junit, testng, nunit, webdriver, jmeter, soapui, selenium, ranorex, seetest, fitnesse, cucumber, etc. A proven track record in agile, test-driven development, behavior-driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing is highly desirable. You should be an active contributor to open-source tools for Automation/Quality Engineering and possess excellent conflict management skills to foster trust and respect within the team. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and executing testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability. Essential skills and basic qualifications for this role include expertise in ETL Testing, a good understanding of Abinitio, and hands-on experience with SQL, Unix, ETL tools, and Databases. This role is based in Pune. Your accountabilities will involve developing and implementing comprehensive test plans, creating and executing automated test scripts, collaborating with peers and cross-functional teams, conducting root cause analysis for defects, and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. As an Analyst, you are expected to execute work requirements, provide specialist advice, manage risk, and strengthen controls related to your work area. You should continually build an understanding of how all teams contribute to broader objectives, develop awareness of underlying principles, make judgements based on practice and experience, and communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.
