Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL pipelines and data integration workflows.
Perform
data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks
across multiple source and target systems.
Develop automated
Python scripts
for ETL/data pipeline testing.
Write and execute complex
SQL queries
to verify data accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Perform regression, functional, and performance testing on ETL processes.
Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and security standards during testing.
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks.

Required Skills:

Strong expertise in
Python (automation, scripting, data validation)
.
Hands-on experience with
ETL testing
and
data warehouse testing
.
Proficiency in
SQL
(joins, aggregations, stored procedures, complex queries).
Experience in testing tools like
PyTest, PySpark, or custom frameworks
.
Familiarity with ETL tools such as
Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or AWS Glue
(any).
Good understanding of
data warehouse concepts (Star/Snowflake schema, fact/dimension tables, etc.)
.
Experience working with
big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.)
is an added advantage.
Knowledge of
cloud platforms
(AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3–7 years of proven experience in
ETL/Data Testing
.
Experience in automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
