Estimator

As an MEP Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for delivering precise cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in construction projects. Your tasks will include analysing project requirements, reviewing drawings and specifications, and collaborating closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to create comprehensive cost projections. Additionally, you will oversee the bidding process, review contracts, and ensure that all project estimates adhere to company standards and budgetary constraints. Key Responsibilities: - Analyse the scope of proposed Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing projects to create detailed cost estimates. - Review project plans and specifications to acquire competitive pricing for the entire scope of work. - Prepare master budgets and cost models for projects. - Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain appropriate estimates. - Review and evaluate Change Order Requests. - Estimate project costs related to MEP Systems. - Evaluate construction project costs for project selection and assess the complexity of each project. Qualifications Required: - 6 months of experience in construction estimating. - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Applied Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field. - Ability to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates. - Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction processes. - Proficiency with MS Word and Excel. - Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines. - Impeccable problem-solving skills. Please note that the role is for a Billing / Planning Engineer in the Advertising & Marketing industry under the Construction & Site Engineering department.
