ER Technician

Role Overview: As a Patient Care Assistant, your role will involve assisting in the assessment and initial treatment of patients in the Emergency Room. You will provide direct patient care by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration. Additionally, you will help with patient positioning, transferring, and transportation within the ER. Your duties will also include performing basic first aid and CPR when required. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration. - Assist with patient positioning, transferring, and transportation within the Emergency Room. - Perform basic first aid and CPR when necessary. - Operate and maintain medical equipment, ensuring cleanliness and functionality. - Assist in procedures like suturing, splinting, or wound dressing under supervision. - Prepare and administer medications as directed by the healthcare team. - Collect samples for lab testing and document patient data, including medical history and symptoms. - Continuously monitor patient status, report changes to the healthcare team, and assess the level of patient distress and urgency. - Maintain and update patient records, ensure the ER environment is well-stocked with medical supplies. - Coordinate with other departments for testing and imaging. Qualification Required: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and emergency care procedures. - Ability to handle high-stress situations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. - Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
