Equity Research Analyst (Fundamental Research)

You will be part of the Equity Research team at Ashika Stock Services Ltd., located in Kolkata. As a Research Analyst, you will collaborate with senior analysts to monitor stocks, analyze companies and sectors, and create research reports tailored for retail investors. This role is ideal for recent graduates keen on financial markets and aspiring to establish a career in equity research. Your main responsibilities will include: - Assisting in tracking and analyzing listed companies and sectors. - Collecting and interpreting financial data, earnings reports, and economic trends. - Drafting summary notes, investment ideas, and sector updates for retail clients. - Contributing to the preparation of research reports encompassing company analysis, valuations, and recommendations. - Managing and updating financial databases with guidance. - Keeping abreast of news, market changes, and regulatory announcements. - Collaborating with internal sales teams to convey investment concepts. - Supporting in the organization of webinars and investor presentations. - Monitoring earnings calls. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Pursuing or having completed CFA (or equivalent programs) would be advantageous. Strong interest in equity markets, investing, and financial analysis is essential, along with a basic understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques. Key skills sought for this position are proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, effective written and verbal communication abilities, analytical thinking, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and capability to work under pressure. Familiarity with stock market tools like Bloomberg, Reuters, TradingView is beneficial but not mandatory.
