Environmental Tutor - Ladies

As a facilitator for activity-based sessions with Nanneers, you will be responsible for delivering engaging environmental education sessions based on the Nanneers module. Your role will involve conducting both indoor and outdoor activities that are aligned with the curriculum's learning objectives. In terms of student engagement, you will utilize local stories, data, emotional triggers, and cultural context to inspire students. Your goal will be to encourage participation, critical thinking, and eco-friendly behavior among children. Hands-on demonstration and support are crucial aspects of this role. You will be expected to set up compost pits, rainwater harvesting models, plant nurseries, or upcycling workshops as per the module plan. Additionally, guiding students in executing these hands-on activities responsibly and safely will be part of your responsibilities. Documentation and feedback are essential for tracking progress and improving sessions. You will need to maintain attendance records, note observations, and collect feedback after each session. Sharing session summaries, photos, and insights will also be required. Promoting Eco Clubs and follow-up activities is another key responsibility. You will assist schools in forming or strengthening student Eco Clubs and recommend follow-up activities and community outreach ideas post-sessions. As a representative of Nanneers values, you will act as an ambassador of Nanneers" mission in the field. It is important to uphold ethics of inclusivity, safety, and respect in all school engagements. This role offers part-time, internship, contractual/temporary, and volunteer job types with a contract length of 6 months. The expected hours range from 20 to 40 per week, with benefits such as commuter assistance, a flexible schedule, and provided food. The schedule is a day shift from Monday to Friday.
