Environmental Coordinator

Position: Environmental Coordinator (Contract)
Location: Oman
Contract Type: Project-Based / Short-Term Contract
Reports To: HSE Manager / Project Manager

Job Purpose

To coordinate, implement, and monitor environmental management programs in line with Omani environmental regulations, MECA requirements, client specifications, and ISO 14001 standards during the project period.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Oman environmental laws and project-specific environmental conditions.
• Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and monitoring (air, water, noise, and waste).
• Maintain accurate environmental records and prepare reports for client and authorities.
• Oversee waste segregation, handling, and disposal in accordance with MECA guidelines.
• Promote energy and water conservation practices on site.
• Support Environmental Management System (EMS) implementation and improvements.
• Provide environmental training and toolbox talks to project personnel.
• Respond to and investigate environmental incidents, recommending corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in oil & gas, construction, or heavy industry in the GCC.
• Knowledge of MECA regulations and ISO 14001 standards.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental monitoring tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹150,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
