Job Description

Role Overview: As the Environment Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, lifecycle management, and cost optimization of all non-production environments, including Dev, QA, UAT, and Performance. Your role is crucial in ensuring stable, available, and cost-effective environments to facilitate smooth project/product delivery and testing. Collaboration with various teams such as DBAs, Infra, Security, Network, Application, and DevOps is essential to ensure efficient CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and environment operations. Key Responsibilities: - Own the NPE calendar, including test cycles, releases, refreshes, and maintenance. - Partner with delivery teams to allocate and prioritize environments effectively. - Manage environment sharing and contention among different teams. - Proactively identify and escalate risks related to conflicts, capacity, and performance. - Serve as the central coordination point for DBAs, Infra, Network, Security, and Application teams to ensure environment readiness. - Collaborate with DevOps to integrate CI/CD pipelines and align deployments with governance. - Ensure proper provisioning, refreshing, and configuration of environments with necessary dependencies. - Oversee environment builds, refreshes, patching, and upgrades. - Monitor the health, availability, and performance of environments in collaboration with SRE teams. - Ensure compliance with security, data, and audit standards. - Drive cloud/environment cost optimization initiatives. - Track actual vs. estimated usage and enforce right-sizing. - Implement automation and governance measures to reduce idle spend. - Partner with the NPE Intake Analyst for demand forecasting and feasibility. - Collaborate with the Change Manager to align changes with schedules and readiness. - Work with the Incident & Request Manager on systemic issues and RCA follow-ups. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Environment/Release/Platform Management with extensive NPE coverage. - Strong coordination skills across DBA, Infra, Network, Security teams. - Proven track record in collaborating with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipeline integration and automation. - In-depth knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and environment orchestration. - Hands-on experience in shared environment management and conflict resolution. - Proficiency in cloud cost optimization/FinOps tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Kubecost, CloudHealth. - Excellent stakeholder management, risk escalation, and communication skills.,
