As the Senior Vice President Delivery for Core Banking & Liquidity, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale banking transformation programs. Your primary focus will be on Core Banking and Liquidity solutions, ensuring delivery excellence, robust governance, and successful program outcomes globally. In this role, you will lead and oversee complex, multi-entity transformation programs, aligning them with strategic objectives. You will drive program governance, milestone tracking, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across all levels. Managing cross-functional teams, including business analysis, technology, QA, infrastructure, and DevOps, will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. You will mentor these teams, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure effective resource allocation. Ensuring adherence to contractual commitments, budgets, timelines, and compliance requirements will be crucial for delivery excellence. You will drive cadence reviews, status reporting, escalation management, and change control processes. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including C-level executives, is also an essential part of your role. You will act as the primary escalation point for program delivery issues and risk mitigation. As a champion of best practices, you will promote delivery methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, DevOps, and value-based services like automation and system engineering. Your expertise should include end-to-end delivery management with strong technical acumen, deep domain knowledge in Core Banking, Liquidity Management, and Cash Solutions, cross-geo delivery experience, risk and compliance management, stakeholder management up to CTO/CXO level, and enterprise automation. Key requirements for this position include a B.Tech/M.Tech with 18+ years of experience in Tier 1 IT Services, FinTech, or Product organizations. You should have 20+ years of progressive experience in IT product or banking technology delivery, with a proven track record in managing large-scale, multi-country product deliveries in the Core Banking or FinTech domain. Hands-on experience in Core Banking transformations, Liquidity solutions, and knowledge of modern banking platforms and technologies are essential. Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, DevOps methodologies, and demonstrated success in leading global teams is also required. Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills, along with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, are important for this role. Experience in deadline-driven, high-pressure environments, PMP/Prince2 certification, and willingness to travel globally are preferred qualifications. Introduction Hiring a Solution Architect who is expert in creating Hybrid cloud, AI and DevOps solutions involving IBM z Systems and IBM Cloud Infrastructure. Premise of a hybrid cloud solution often revolves around the following topics, AI for the enterprise DevOps Cloud native experience for developers and operators Platform story led by a single integrated fabric that is core to a hybrid cloud strategy that removes org silos Common skills, processes, practices, and tools Integrated applications and data Enterprise Automation Security and Quantum Safe AIOps (Cloud native observability and management automation) At the core of all of this is the modern mainframe platform (IBM z16 and the likes) running z/OS or Linux on Z (or a LinuxOne box). As Global System Integrator(GSI)s help customers take a leap into the future, we would like to work with them to build their solutions based on hybrid strategy and deliver projects to deploy those solutions and therefore create skills to be able to do that. Goal here is to employ solution architects that work with GSIs to help them create solutions, successfully engage with the customers and create skills in volumes in their delivery teams to be able to address customer needs and respond quickly. Your role and responsibilities Our solution architects are expected to drive patterns versus products. Therefore, all existing solution architects should be able to expand themselves to fit into hybrid cloud patterns and continue to add value. Common skill requirements for Solution Architects: 10 to 15 years of industry experience with preferred experience of at least 5 years of solution architecture (understand customer problems and devise solutions) Established strength of being able to engage with clients and communicate effectively as a subject matter expert Prior experience of working with a system integrator and building solution offerings is a plus Good knowledge of trending technologies e.g. AI, Security, Cloud (IBM Cloud preferred) Hands-on with technology and being able create demo assets and showcase to customers, conduct PoCs, run enablement sessions Interface with Ecosystem Lab teams and Technology teams to support System Integrators in procuring tech resources to build technical assets. Ability to interlock, understand and engage with various senior executives of key BUs within IBM (Eg: IBM Consulting) to create value prop, content and assets to drive Mainframe skills, capabilities and expertise for client engagements. Required education Bachelors Degree Preferred education Masters Degree Required technical and professional expertise Over 10+ years of experience in working with integration technologies. At least 3 to 5 years of working with IBM z/OS Systems, Managing Z Security or Z Performance Management. Good knowledge of OpenShift, Cloud and container technologies, Knowledge of Cloud Paks is a plus. Working knowledge on IBM Cloud (Administration skills and User / resource management) would be a great plus or a learning requirement for this role. Solution architect for Z would primarily perform one or more of the following Co-creation of solutions with GSI partners Development of customizable solution offerings covering various SI personas GSI consumable collateral, Frameworks, Accelerators etc. that are subsequently customized by SIs for their use. Creation of Industry solution accelerators Education / Enablement of GSIs with new solutions or new offerings. Support GSIs during internal or client POCs Support joint technical engagements with clients. Preferred technical and professional experience Hands on skills on Software Installation / Maintenance on System Z , System Administration, Performance Tuning tasks would be a plus. Working knowledge of cloud services that are a key part of REST API driven integration architecture and administrative skills on cloud platforms preferred.
