Job Summary

US Tax Associate

Review US federal and state tax returns, including:

Individuals (Form 1040)
Corporations (Forms 1120, 1120S)
Partnerships (Form 1065)

Verify supporting documents, work papers, and schedules for accuracy.
Identify errors, omissions, or inconsistencies and recommend corrections.
Ensure compliance with IRS and state tax regulations.
Communicate effectively with preparers to clarify details or request revisions.
Conduct tax research as needed to resolve return-specific issues.
Stay updated on US tax codes and software practices.
Meet deadlines and maintain high-quality review standards.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (EA preferred, not mandatory).
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in US taxation, particularly return review.
Strong knowledge of US tax laws for individuals and businesses.
Proficiency in tax software such as Lacerte, ProSeries, Drake, or similar.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
Ability to work independently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience in outsourced US tax processes or with CPA firms.
Familiarity with platforms such as GoSystem Tax RS, CCH Axcess Tax, or similar tools.
