English Teacher

Job Summary The English Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging English language and literature lessons. The role includes assessing students’ progress, fostering a love for reading and writing, and helping students develop effective communication skills in English. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons in accordance with the curriculum. Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and literature. Develop lesson plans and teaching materials that cater to different learning styles and abilities. Assess and evaluate students’ performance through assignments, tests, and examinations. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve. Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment. Encourage participation and discussion to enhance learning. Organize activities such as debates, reading sessions, and drama performances. Keep accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and progress. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student performance and behavior. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field. Strong/Basic command of English (spoken and written). Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Creativity and ability to make lessons engaging and interactive. Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching. Good organizational and time-management skills. Work Environment Classroom-based teaching with occasional extracurricular activities. Collaboration with colleagues and participation in school programs.
