English Reader & Companion

We are looking for a fluent English-speaking individual to support an elderly lady by reading books, newspapers, and other materials aloud, and explaining them in simple terms. This is not a traditional teaching role, but rather a reading companion role that requires patience, empathy, and clear communication skills

Key Responsibilities

Read books, newspapers, and other English materials aloud on a regular basis.

Explain the content in clear, simple English (and Hindi/Bengali if needed).

Engage in meaningful conversations related to the reading material.

Provide companionship and a positive learning environment.

Be punctual, polite, and respectful in all interactions.

Requirements

Strong command of spoken and written English.

Clear and patient communicator.

Prior teaching or tutoring experience is not mandatory but will be an added advantage.

Empathy, patience, and a friendly attitude are essential.

Age, gender, or formal qualifications are not a barrier—what matters most is fluency and communication ability.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: ₹5,000.00 - ₹7,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 2 – 2.5 per week
