English-Language Transcriber (Remote)

We are looking for transcribers to label audio data for our English language ASR (automatic speech recognition) project. Audio recordings are taken from conversation recordings and should be written as text in the English language based on a set of guidelines. This project is expected to last around 1 month. There is an online interface for the transcription process. You will have an account of your own, and you will do everything using this interface. We will have auto transcription, so you do not need to write from scratch.

It is actually a fun job where you can work whenever you want, wherever you want, and make money by listening to audio and transcribing the audio into words based on what is being said.

Transcribers with excellent task quality may be promoted to work as QA (Quality assurance) and have the opportunity to work long-term with us in other positions. We regularly have Thai projects, and you are welcome to work with us in the future.

Requirements:

• Excellent comprehension of Indian-accent English
• Excellent English writing skills
• Familiar with computer usage
• Willingness to learn the rules of the project
• Being able to pay attention to details
• Free for at least 15 hours weekly
• Previous transcription experience is not necessary but is preferred.

Payment: 17-18USD per each effective transcribed audio hour. As one effective audio hour may take 5-7 working hours to finish, the hourly payment is estimated to be around 3USD. Payment is typically processed every two weeks via Paypal, Payoneer, or Wise.
