Engineering Tech Lead

Role Overview: As a hands-on technical leader at Berryworks, you will have the opportunity to build world-class solutions and mentor highly skilled engineers. Your contribution will significantly impact product development as you lead a globally distributed engineering team committed to excellence. You will be responsible for designing and developing enterprise-ready web and mobile applications, leading design discussions, exploring ML and NLP algorithms, influencing product design, and practicing time management in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: - Leverage 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and developing enterprise-ready web and mobile applications - Build product features with a strong customer-focused mindset from ideation to deployment in a client production environment - Lead design discussions on application architecture, UI components, back-end, and third-party integration - Mentor a globally distributed engineering team to commit to high standards of excellence - Explore and create ML and NLP algorithms - Learn new technologies with agility to build prototypes - Influence product design and features - Practice time management and prioritization skills in a highly dynamic environment Qualifications: - Experience in leading engineering teams - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Significant experience in working with Angular - Fluency in Python, Ruby, NodeJS, or Go (Python is used at Berryworks) - Expertise in working with DynamoDB or other NoSQL Databases - Experience working on the AWS platform for development - Knowledge of NLP-based conversational-AI solutions implementation - Working experience in data & analytics field, including Machine Learning/Deep Learning, AI, and big data - Comfort with Agile development methodology and ability to thrive in an agile environment - Ability to run technical checks and audits to comply with external performance, privacy, security, and related needs and resolve identified issues - Prior app development experience on Slack or Microsoft Teams is a plus - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams Role Overview: As a hands-on technical leader at Berryworks, you will have the opportunity to build world-class solutions and mentor highly skilled engineers.
