Engineering Manager - Web

As an Engineering Manager for the Web Team at VT Netzwelt Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in leading the team to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable web solutions for global clients. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to high-quality project delivery will be key in driving the success of the Web Department. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the day-to-day engineering operations of the Web Department, overseeing end-to-end web application development. - Work closely with the Delivery team to ensure timely, quality-driven, and efficient execution of web projects. - Mentor and guide engineers of varying experience levels; support career growth and skill development. - Drive the adoption of best coding practices, peer code reviews, periodic technical evaluations, and modern DevOps principles. - Stay updated on AI-assisted development practices and tools to enhance developer productivity and code quality. - Develop scalable distributed systems using diverse architectural paradigms like Serverless, Microservices, and Hybrid architectures. - Foster a tech-forward mindset, encourage continuous learning, and lead the adoption of modern frameworks and AI-powered development tools. - Participate in planning and estimation exercises, ensuring alignment of effort with technical complexity. - Collaborate with Solution Architects to ensure optimal system design and architecture. - Monitor key engineering metrics such as quality, velocity, and bug density to drive continuous improvement. **Preferred Background & Experience:** - 10+ years of web development experience with at least 3+ years in a team lead or engineering management role. - Strong technical foundation in JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS NodeJS, NestJS, or similar web technologies. - Proven experience in architecting and delivering modern, scalable web applications. - Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD practices, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus. - Experience managing or collaborating with cross-functional teams including Mobile, QA, and DevOps. - Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
