Job Description

As an Engineering Manager for Residential Circuit Protection Solutions in North America, you will lead a multidomain team of talented engineers in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Firmware. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic leadership in innovation, new product development, cost optimization, and product line maintenance. It will be crucial for you to foster a climate of innovation to drive growth, accelerate capability development, and build a high-performing team. You will collaborate with the global product engineering team for technical reviews, budget planning, and driving the long-term technology/product roadmap to establish a leadership position in circuit protection. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the circuit protection team by setting product development priorities and building strong relationships with global stakeholders. - Partner with various teams such as Test labs, Simulation, Advanced Research, and Sustainability to ensure rapid adoption, process improvements, and alignment of schedules. - Focus on improving productivity, resolving issues efficiently, and developing team capabilities through reskilling, hiring, and creating standard operating procedures. - Ensure high-quality delivery in line with the plan and industry standards. Qualifications Required: - 13+ years of overall experience with a minimum of 3 years as a People Manager and 6+ years of hands-on expertise in electromechanical or circuit protection technologies. - Strong expertise in MCB and Low Voltage Panels with a deep understanding of UL/IEC standards for Residential Circuit Protection Systems. - Experience in leading and executing global programs with Engineering leadership from Pune. - Drive innovation within the team to create technical differentiators, identify growth opportunities, and protect intellectual property through patents and trade secrets. - Develop a long-term roadmap aligned with market trends and invest in people, products, and infrastructure to enable its execution. - Lead design reviews, engineering work packages, and ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated to the team. In this role, you will be required to have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of experience. Your skills should include expertise in Circuit Protection, DFSS, and UL/IEC Compliance. You will lead a team of engineers from various domains and be responsible for technical proposals, stakeholder communication, and process implementation.
