As an Engineering Manager for Residential Circuit Protection Solutions in the North American market, you will lead a multidomain team of engineers specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Firmware. Your responsibilities will include providing strategic leadership in areas such as Innovation, New Product Development, Cost Optimization, and Product Line Maintenance. It will be crucial for you to cultivate a culture of innovation within the team to drive growth, enhance capability development, and build a high-performing team. Collaboration with the global product engineering team for technical reviews, budget planning, and defining the long-term technology roadmap will be essential to establish a leadership position in the circuit protection portfolio. Your role will involve understanding product strategies, setting development priorities, and fostering strong relationships with global stakeholders to take ownership of the CPS portfolio. By partnering with various teams such as Test Labs, Simulation, and Research, you will ensure rapid adoption of innovations, drive process improvements, and streamline project schedules. Emphasizing productivity and quality, you will focus on enhancing team skills, recruiting new talent, and establishing standard operating procedures to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery aligned with best practices. To excel in this position, you should possess over 13 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role and at least 6 years of hands-on expertise in electromechanical or circuit protection technologies, particularly in MCBs and Low Voltage Panels. Your strong knowledge of UL/IEC standards relevant to Residential Circuit Protection Systems will be critical. Furthermore, you must demonstrate the ability to lead and execute global engineering programs, drive innovation within the team, identify growth opportunities, and safeguard intellectual property through patents and trade secrets. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring Eaton remains at the forefront of new and emerging technologies, facilitating the design and evaluation of products to support rapid deployment. Developing a long-term roadmap aligned with market trends and investing in team members, products, and infrastructure will be essential for successful execution. You will lead design reviews, oversee engineering work packages, understand customer requirements, and act as a liaison for program activities. Motivating and developing your team to achieve both individual and collective goals, conducting performance reviews, monitoring project progress, and providing expert resolution for technical issues will be integral parts of your role. In terms of qualifications, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with at least 15 years of relevant experience. Key skills for this role include expertise in Circuit Protection, DFSS, and UL/IEC Compliance, as well as the ability to lead a diverse team of engineers responsible for developing circuit protection solutions. You will also be accountable for creating technical proposals, facilitating stakeholder communication, and implementing processes to drive innovation and excellence in product development.,
