Job Description

As an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in the MERN stack, your role will involve leading and mentoring a team of software engineers. You will drive technical excellence, deliver scalable products, and collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders. Balancing hands-on coding with strategic leadership will be essential to ensure high-quality deliverables, timely execution, and a culture of innovation within your team. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of MERN stack developers including frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers. - Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and support team members with career development. - Collaborate with product and business teams to translate requirements into technical deliverables. - Plan, prioritize, and manage sprint cycles to ensure timely delivery of features. - Drive process improvements for CI/CD, testing, and release. Expertise Required: - Deep hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. - Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, GraphQL, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure). - Proficiency in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices. - Solid understanding of system design, scalability, performance optimization. - Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and exposure to serverless architecture. - Experience scaling engineering teams in a startup or hyper-growth environment. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
