Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of software engineers through mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
• Stay hands-on with development contribute to design discussions, perform code reviews, and handle critical implementations.
• Own the architecture and design of scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Establish engineering excellence by defining coding standards, best practices, and quality benchmarks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define project goals and timelines.
• Drive agile execution, improving team velocity and delivery predictability.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and architectural inefficiencies.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional experience in software development, with recent hands-on coding in Golang, Python, or Flutter. The core experience in building extremely low latency and high throughput transactional systems using low-level foundational languages like C, C++ or C# is a big plus.
• Strong background in system design, architecture, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in microservices, APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and DevOps principles.
• Experience in a fast-paced or startup environment, ideally within B2B or fintech domains.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams or managing senior engineers.
• Ability to recruit, mentor, and retain top technical talent.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with a bias for action and delivery.
