Title: Engineering Manager Electrical Systems (Starter Panel)

Qualifications: Bachelors or Master degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a reputed University.

Experience: 08 to 10 years’ experience in relevant field. Min. 03 years’ experience in project management role.

Expected Job Role:

Hands-on experience in system design of electrical and electronic control systems

Understanding specifications and offering solutions with the available technology

Experience in different enclosure designs for panels & operating consoles, Heat load calculation, Design of panel layouts.

Preparation of System Design Drawings like GA drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Internal Layout Drawings, Installation Drawings, Internal & External Wiring Diagrams.

Preparation of Acceptance Test Procedures, Quality Assurance Plans, Technical Manuals.

Selection of system components, preparation of part lists and estimation of price

Managing engineering team to Carry out complete engineering of an order including preparation of drawings, release for manufacturing, testing procedures, FAT schedule etc.

Design analysis for FMEA, Reliability Analysis and design compliance to required standards.

Resource Planning and allocation for engineering design of projects including tools & tackles

Co-ordination with project management team for approvals, inspections and clearances for the entire lifecycle of the project

Preparing final technical documentation for the order

Ensuring compliance with relevant defence standards

Customer interaction and onsite visits for feasibility studies, technical discussions.

Support to resolve design issues in existing products reported by Support teams.

Technical support to Sales for technical offer and cost estimates on need basis

Interaction with internal departments for co-ordination of various activities

Research on new product development initiatives and product development roadmap

Technical competency:

Hands-on experience in system design of electrical / electronic Starter cum Control Systems

Knowledge of PLCs, Controllers, electrical switchgear, electromechanical components, starters and VFDs, etc, is mandatory.

Knowledge of various standards for components like IS, IEC, BIS, NES, Def Stan, UL, etc.

Knowledge in process control will be an added advantage

Understanding specifications and offering solutions with the available technology

Preparation of Acceptance Test Procedures, Quality Assurance Plans, Technical Manuals.

Product compliance testing for Environmental and EMI/EMC as per MIL Standards

Understanding Customer requirements / RFP specifications and offering solutions with the available technology

Excellent analytical & inter-personal skills with proven ability in driving the project

Hands-on knowledge and skills on any project related to defence domain will be an advantage
