Job Description

As a DevOps Manager at Zendesk, you will be leading a team of 5-10 DevOps engineers responsible for managing the chat application's cloud infrastructure. Your role involves overseeing the production infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability. Collaborating closely with Scrum teams, you will guide projects to align with business and technology goals, integrating DevOps practices into the development lifecycle. You will provide mentorship, guidance, and technical direction to the team, fostering career development while delivering on business objectives. Your expertise in cloud environments like AWS, along with services such as EC2, Elasticache, RDS, Opensearch, and Lambda, will be crucial. Additionally, your strong knowledge of configuration management systems and infrastructure as code principles will contribute to consistent deployment across environments. In this hybrid role, combining remote and on-site work, you will spend 3 days in the office and relocate to Pune. Your problem-solving skills, ability to work under tight deadlines, and excellent written and verbal communication will be essential. As an early hire for Zendesk's Product Development Center of Excellence in Pune, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, processes, and success of the site, contributing to the growth and maturity of the center.
