Job Description

As an Engineer in the Maintenance Department, your role involves conducting preventive and periodic maintenance activities, ensuring critical spares are maintained in stock, and performing repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems to resolve breakdowns and malfunctions. You will be responsible for generating breakdown reports, analyzing downtime, and working towards minimizing unplanned downtime. Effective documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment history cards, is essential. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct preventive and periodic maintenance activities - Maintain critical spares in stock - Perform repairs and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems - Generate breakdown reports and analyze downtime - Minimize unplanned downtime - Document maintenance activities including work orders, repair logs, and equipment history cards Qualification Required: - Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (B Tech) In addition to the technical responsibilities, you will need to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in plant maintenance to enhance efficiency and optimize equipment performance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, external service providers, and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks is crucial. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, standards, and personal protective equipment usage is a priority. You will also be responsible for performing periodic calibration of gauges and equipment, as well as maintaining corresponding documents. A willingness to learn and adapt to servicing customized machineries in the plant is expected.
