Engineering head

Responsibilities:
Overall responsible for engineering activities across the Plant including managing NPDand Tool Room Create and implement best practice engineering vision, strategy, policies, processesand procedures to aid and improve Plant performance Providing technical support to the business development. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of build design till handover Practice and inculcate in the team core engineering techniques, applications,methods, processes etc relating to structural designing, document preparations andother engineering activities Assisting projects with value engineering Develop planning and prioritise processes to ensure that multi-disciplinary resource iswell aligned to maximise delivery of projects Ensure support to new product engineering activity with appropriate documentationand preservation of such documents. Work with Marketing department on product development, market opportunities andtrends Support project management to cross functional activity required for projectexecution Report on Engineering activities on a regular basis to the Senior Management team,ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators Responsible to ensure 5S at plant and workplace on daily basis Identifying the manpower requirements, skillsets and training needs of the function Mentor and develop direct reporters and manage a high performing team thatdelivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions Review the use of technological systems that support a more environmentally friendlyapproach Operate strictly within the budget allocated to the department and put inappropriate measures to reduce costs in different areas Submit inputs for annual budget on time in the formats and in the manner desiredo co-ordinate with accounts to confirm the insurance of the equipment is in force atall times.
