Order Fulfillment Product Group delivers capability from Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP); multiple distribution models across EU, IMG and NA including wholesale and supporting eCommerce; vehicle configuration services; scheduling for all assembly plants; sales reporting; company vehicle management; and Global Trade Services. These capabilities are spread across six product lines and are the heart of all vehicle orders.

Must Have
- 10+ years of software engineering in leadership roles.
- Industry certifications relevant to software engineering or commitment to obtain within 6 months.
- Leadership experience in creating a psychologically safe team environment and blameless retros.
- Proven ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and deliver software
- Expertise leading large scale transformations and systems thinking.
- Expertise in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Strong hands-on Software engineering/ programming/ solution design experience
- Experience/Awareness of Microservices architecture, Cloud-Native architectures, Event-driven architectures, APIs, Domain-Driven Design, Public Cloud (Google Cloud), Serverless, Kubernetes, Docker, DevOps, building scalable, reliable, available solutions, and/or performance testing.
- Strong technical background with the capability of being hands-on and earn the respect and ability to mentor top individual technical talent.
- Conversant in multiple programming languages. Thorough knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing concepts including scalability, performance, and consistency characteristics of a microservices driven eCommerce architecture
- Experience in Cloud Native systems, Transactional Systems, Multi-Tenancy, five-nines availability, and Containerization technologies
- Experience in collaborating and partnering with other technical domain experts such as cloud, security, SRE, and DevOps.
- Expertise in DevSecOps, with full ownership of development, security, and operational support aspects of a product. Expertise in monitoring activities and tools such as Dynatrace or Google Cloud Monitoring for operational support.
- Ability to manage complex integrations and dependencies across various products, product lines, and product groups.
- Proven leadership skills in people management, team building, and coaching, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to identify innovative solutions.
- Undergrad degree Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities:
- This role is specific to Global Product Representation Services, one of the six product lines within Order Fulfillment.
- Engineering leadership role (LL5) overseeing delivery, architecture, engineering for a complex micro services ecosystem
- Engineering Lead and Product Owner for the Global Product Representation Services (GPRS) product line (GFORCE, GPRICE, GPAS, GPRIME, GPRS Common), with team members located in Chennai, Dearborn and UK.
- Model the use of modern software engineering practices (TDD BDD, CI/CD, Shift left, API first design language etc..) to support integration with existing Ford software products as well as external cloud-based services.
- Collaborate with Fords Enterprise Architecture organization to rationalize technologies, further leverage current technology offerings already in use, and identify gaps/opportunities.
- Strategize & work with senior leaders across Ford’s engineering organization to make significant, measurable impact on a global scale by innovating and operating with an iterative, agile, and user-centric perspective
- Deliver accurate global product definition and associated metadata (descriptions, images, prices, etc.) to product teams in all segments in support of their interactive user experiences and delivery commitments.
- Enable authoring teams to establish available product features and associated metadata based on viable combinations.
- Drive tech stack modernization (e.g. migration to GCP Network Segmentation), security and controls and continuous improvement actions.
- This role collaborates directly and continuously with all product lines, and interfacing groups.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
As GPRS Engineering Manager, you will be engaging with multiple teams and driving the GPRS strategic roadmap and engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the architecture landscape, evolution, and delivery of product suite.
- Bring engineering expertise and experience to ensure the product line can grow to meet increasing demands
- Establish a roadmap that describes key areas of priority based on assessment of current capabilities and identifies key dependencies
- Identify and recommend related enterprise foundational technology capabilities and improvements or business model changes that should be pursued to improve our customer platform capability
- Contribute to Ford’s Product Driven Organization (PDO) model by identifying improvements and areas that help to reduce dependencies and increase autonomy for teams to delivery.
- Ensure GPRS services are robust, performant, and highly available.
- Ensure GPRS services and build pipelines are secure and compliant with latest security & controls scans.
