Engineer- Water Structures

Role Overview: At Jacobs, you will be tasked with designing and analyzing structures for water and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as underground structures such as tanks, buildings, and pipelines. You will work on coordinating design efforts with other disciplines and liaising with internal and external clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining high work standards, minimizing errors, and mentoring junior staff members in the field of structural engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Design and analyze structures for water and wastewater treatment facilities, underground structures, and related infrastructure - Perform structural systems analysis and design using various national and international codal provisions - Coordinate design work with other disciplines - Liaise with internal and external clients - Maintain high work standards and minimize production errors - Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff Qualifications Required: - Possess a range of structural analysis and design experience, with a focus on reinforced concrete and steelwork structures - 3 to 12 years of structural engineering experience in Water/Wastewater projects - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or M.Tech in Structural Engineering - Experience working on similar types of projects - Familiarity with different types of loadings - Strong planning and organizing skills, including task management and resourcing - Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills - Commitment to ongoing learning and development - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Company Details: At Jacobs, the company values people and strives to create a balance of belonging, career growth, and lifestyle for its employees.
