Role Summary

The Engineer/Sr. Engineer will be responsible for designing commercial vehicle transmission shift systemsboth internal and externalfrom concept through production release. The role involves CAD modelling, system integration, technical validation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, cost-effective, and production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Design transmission internal and external shift systems for commercial vehicles.

• CATIA

• Perform DMU/interface studies to ensure packaging and functional compatibility.

• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis for precise component design.

Product Lifecycle & Production Release

• Lead design activities from concept to production release.

• Support proto builds and validation activities.

• Define component specifications and ensure compliance with performance requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with suppliers, manufacturing, validation, and proto teams.

• Provide technical guidance during development, tooling, and manufacturing phases.

• Coordinate and lead design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct system analysis and root cause investigation for development issues.

• Recommend design improvements for performance enhancement and cost reduction.

• Ensure timely resolution of technical issues impacting development milestones.
