Engineer, Software Engineering

As a Software Engineer at Bain & Company, you will be responsible for delivering application modules with minimal supervision, providing guidance to associate engineers, and collaborating with an Agile/scrum software development team. Your primary focus will be on building and supporting Bain's strategic internal software systems to deliver value to global users and support key business initiatives. Your responsibilities will include working on technical delivery tasks such as developing and updating enterprise applications, analyzing user stories, preparing work estimates, writing unit test plans, participating in testing and implementation of application releases, and providing ongoing support for applications in use. Additionally, you will contribute to research efforts to evaluate new technologies and tools, share knowledge within the team, and present technical findings and recommendations. You should have expertise in frameworks like .NET & .NET Core, languages such as C# and T-SQL, web frameworks/libraries like Angular/React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, RDBMS like Microsoft SQL Server, cloud services like Microsoft Azure, unit testing tools like XUnit and Jasmine, and DevOps practices with GitActions. Familiarity with search engines, NoSQL databases, caching mechanisms, and preferred skills in Python & GenAI will be beneficial. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, have 3-5 years of experience in developing enterprise-scale applications, possess a strong understanding of agile software development methodologies, and demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, analytic, and problem-solving skills. Your ability to work collaboratively with the team, acquire new skills, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts will be essential for success in this position.,
