Engineer Routing/Security TAC

As a TAC Engineer at Versa Networks, Inc., you will play a crucial role in providing front line technical support to debug complex issues in customer production networks, specifically in the SDWAN deployments. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting network routing and security related issues, replicating customer issues in lab environment, collaborating with engineering teams to replicate customer issues and test possible fixes, working on problems of diverse scope, and creating knowledge articles for subordinates and other team members. It is essential for you to have a good knowledge of Routing, Switching, or Security protocols. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field of study **Key Responsibilities:** - Troubleshooting network routing and security related issues in production networks - Replicating customer issues in a lab environment - Working with engineering teams to replicate customer issues and test possible fixes - Creating knowledge articles for subordinates and other team members - Having a good knowledge of Routing, Switching, or Security protocols **Essential Skills:** - Working understanding of Routing protocols like OSPF and BGP - Clear understanding of TCP/UDP flows - Experience in a TAC/Support environment is a plus - Understanding of Security protocols and features is a plus - Understanding of various authentication models (AD/LDAP, SAML) is a plus - Good communication skills and ability to drive calls with customers **Desired Skills:** - Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills - Ability to handle calls with production customers while troubleshooting network issues - Prior experience working in a TAC environment will be a plus - Aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies - Team player with a can-do attitude and initiative - Ability to work independently as well as in a team - Strong skills in large-scale software design and development - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Versa Networks is a rapidly growing organization that offers competitive compensation packages, quality of life benefits, and a healthy work-life balance.
