Engineer

Role Purpose

To ensure that all finished products are inspected and verified before dispatch, meeting customer specifications, quality standards, and documentation requirements. The role ensures defect-free supply, compliance with customer-specific requirements, and supports the organization in achieving zero customer complaints.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dispatch Quality Inspection

• Inspect finished products before dispatch to ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and customer standards.
• Conduct visual, dimensional, welding, and surface finish checks as per control plan.
• Verify labels, packaging, and preservation requirements for each customer.

2. Documentation & Records

• Prepare and maintain

  Final Inspection Reports, Dispatch Clearance Notes, and QC stamps

  .
• Ensure traceability of parts through job cards, batch records, or barcoding.
• Release product only after clearance as per customer and internal quality norms.

3. Customer Requirement Compliance

• Ensure all dispatches meet

  customer-specific requirements (CSR)

  .
• Support Quality team during customer audits or inspections at dispatch stage.
• Ensure PPAP / APQP-related quality documents are available when required.

4. Problem Solving & Feedback

• Record and report any deviations or non-conformances to QA Manager.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Logistics for corrective actions.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions.

5. System & Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with

  IATF 16949 / ISO 9001

  systems during dispatch.
• Maintain 5S and safety in dispatch inspection area.
• Support internal & external audits with dispatch inspection records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical / Automobile / Production Engineering.
• 2–4 years of experience in

  Final/Dispatch Quality Inspection

  in automotive sheet metal / BIW / component manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of

  control plans, check sheets, GD&T basics, gauges, and measuring instruments

  .
• Exposure to OEM requirements (Maruti, Hyundai, Toyota, Ashok Leyland, etc.) preferred.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  inspection techniques, gauges, and standards

  .
• Eye for detail and ability to identify defects quickly.
• Good understanding of

  PPAP, APQP, and IATF 16949 systems

  .
• Strong coordination skills with

  production, stores, logistics, and customers

  .
• Documentation and reporting ability.

• Zero customer complaints related to dispatch quality.
• 100% compliance with final inspection and documentation before dispatch.
• Reduction in in-transit or customer line rejections.
• Timely clearance of finished goods for dispatch without quality delays.
