Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing works based on drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
Conduct detailed quantity take-off from IFC drawings and GFC drawings.
Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis, and pricing for MEP components.
Verify contractor/vendor bills and ensure accurate measurements as per site execution.
Coordinate with project site teams for progress updates, measurement verification, and technical clarifications.
Perform cost monitoring and budget tracking for MEP packages throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in tender evaluation, comparison statements, and negotiation with vendors/subcontractors.
Maintain records of contract documents, variations, claims, and change orders.
Prepare periodic reports on MEP costs, commitments, and forecasted expenditures for management review.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and company policies.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
3–6 years of experience as QS – MEP in Building or Infrastructure Construction industry.
Strong knowledge of estimation tools, cost control techniques, and MEP technical parameters.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and QS software.
Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
