You will play a crucial role as an Engineer-Melting at Sandvik, focusing on optimizing the melting and pouring process to enhance efficiency and quality. Your responsibilities will include: - Recording and maintaining melting and pouring process setup sheets - Optimizing the process through parameter adjustments, new method applications, and qualifications - Assisting in troubleshooting production processes - Having extensive hands-on experience with the steel melting and pouring process, including familiarity with Induction Furnace and relevant machinery - Understanding Steel Melting Raw Materials, preparation of charge mixes, and their analysis on a Spectrometer - Improving and documenting processes on existing melts - Ensuring correct definition and deployment of process flow in the Melting and pouring Area - Organizing Melting and pouring Shopfloor Documents & Instructions and ensuring compliance with Standards - Contributing to initiatives and solutions for Melting and Pouring technical Troubleshooting - Driving initiatives for plant productivity increase, material saving, and cost reduction - Developing and enhancing processes related to Melting on Induction furnaces and Bottom Pouring ladle systems - Driving process improvements - Evaluating and proposing the use of new technology and equipment - Collaborating with equipment and material vendors to resolve issues - Handling Manpower Planning You should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the same field, with hands-on experience in Manganese Steel Melting and pouring being desirable. Your educational background should include a BE/Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy or relevant fields.
