Convert GAD and structural drawings intofabrication drawings for shopfloor use (plates, stiffeners, weld callouts,views).
Prepare part-wise drawings with clear part codes and identifiers aligned withCNC processing and nesting logic.
Ensure revision control and drawing discipline maintain revision historyand supersede outdated drawings properly.
Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for 2D/3Ddetailing; Tekla Structures or equivalent for modelling and extraction (ifapplicable).
Generate accurate part lists, BOMs, and MTOs aligned with fabrication flowand nesting constraints.
Ensure MTO matches issued drawings and kit plans; flag mismatches early.
Integrate requirements from IRS 350/450 CR, RDSOguidelines, and client specs into drawings.
Ensure drawing output is practical for fabrication and erection correctweld types, tolerances, hole placements, and fit-up feasibility.
Support nesting and welding sequence planning by maintaining clarity in plateorientation and part matching.
o AutoCAD (Mandatory), SolidWorks, CATIA, TeklaStructures, or equivalent
o Strong understanding of weld symbols, shopfloorworkflows, and material specs
o Able to interpret structural drawings and breakthem into detailable elements
o Familiar with traceability logic (part coding,revision tracking, BOM linkage)
o Works closely with production and QA, not inisolation
o Clear communicator, especially when resolvingtechnical contradictions in drawings
