Key Job Responsibilities

Mechanical design, analysis, and test efforts to support electronics product development projects that meet customer needs, improve efficiency, reduce cost, and improve reliability. Coordinates the work of other functional team members for concept design, sample preparation, testing, evaluation, trouble shooting, and decision making. Responsible for the development, evaluation, and implementation of electronics packaging, mechanical components for variable speed drives. Components include heat sinks, mounting hardware, plastic enclosures etc. Work with electronics team in the development of product specifications and development schedules. Work with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers to develop tooling and implement manufacturing processes. Work with Procurement Engineers to source prototype parts and support identification and qualification of production suppliers. Work with reliability group for development and execution of product qualification Thermal & CFD Analysis Tools like ICEPACK, ANSYS based FEA are a plus. Vibration Analysis Tools like SHERLOCK is a plus.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Bachelors degree in Engineering with mechanical packaging design experience of 3 years or more. Experience with CAD engineering tools like NX, Solid Edge, Teamcenter. Experience working on Mechanical 2D & 3D drawings. Fluent English communications skills both writing and oral. New Product Development process knowledge is a plus.
