Engineer I, Quality

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Gates Corporation, your role will involve implementing procedures outlined in the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance. You will be responsible for updating and revising in-house systems and procedures to meet external certification bodies" requirements. Handling customer complaints, conducting containment actions, full analysis, error-proofing, and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures will be crucial aspects of your job. Your key responsibilities will include updating quality documentation based on lessons learned from quality concerns, ensuring customer requirements are met, conducting internal and process audits, managing Quality Engineers and Technicians, establishing quality sign-off instructions, standards, and documentation, reporting quality metrics monthly, and leading inspection meetings to improve build quality. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Supplier Quality Assurance function to minimize the impact of non-conforming supplier materials on production area quality. To succeed in this role, you are expected to acquire basic skills and knowledge, understand professional and ethical responsibilities, and apply general business knowledge acquired through education. While there are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position, you will be accountable for your contributions. Qualifications and Preferred Skills: - 3-5 years of experience in a similar role - Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience providing exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.,
